The melody is beautiful but that snare is off beat. It makes me so uncomfortable when I listen to it.

He got tired of making summer tunes and wanted to switch it up. Seven Days is overhated just cuz it was released in the fall

No one can actually say more than 5 words why they think its trash

I think it's dope. There was an interview with some other producer, I want to say it was Body Meat, who talked about how this was his favorite PND song for this specific reason. I think it totally works. It helps the song feel less predictable and static. His vocals are so relatively on the beat that it doesn't f*** up the flow of the song for me.

"My favorite PARTYNEXTDOOR song is called “Bad Intentions.” What he’s talking about is kind of strange, but it’s got this rhythm where the snare is off the one, almost like a syncopated Ethiopian rhythm—but it’s in an R&B song. When I first found it online, I looked at the comments, and all of them were like, “Yo, bro, the snare’s f***ed up.” I’m just like, “No, it’s not f***ed up. It is so f***ing on time. It’s perfect.”

Incredibly boring, production is so subpar from the expectation Party has, vocals are awful just like on all the singles before it, and he somehow made even a rick Ross verse he not that good. Overall a terrible project

  • Nov 9, 2020

that snare placement isnt even that crazy. its just an awful sample choice for that style
