There was an interview with some other producer, I want to say it was Body Meat, who talked about how this was his favorite PND song for this specific reason. I think it totally works. It helps the song feel less predictable and static. His vocals are so relatively on the beat that it doesn't f*** up the flow of the song for me.

Incredibly boring, production is so subpar from the expectation Party has, vocals are awful just like on all the singles before it, and he somehow made even a rick Ross verse he not that good. Overall a terrible project
