This s*** mighta been my first demon moment
Innocent kid me wondering why wop wanna educate her so bad in the front seat
Not underground cause I wasn't on the internet as a kid but these come to mind
For underground I don't even know. Early Cudi maybe, or the begining of asap mob with purple swag
Real ones drank bottles of tuss to this

Innocent kid me wondering why wop wanna educate her so bad in the front seat
Reminds me of first hearing this
Weezer’s Blue Album, Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3, Beastie Boys’ Licensed to Ill, Michael Jackson’s Greatest Hits. those really got me started. Later on: To Pimp A Butterfly showed me how much deeper it could really go

Gucci’s 2012 run is one of the greatest in trap history. Trap Back - Classic. I’m Up - classic. Trap God - classic

I recently made a Gucci playlist for my new car cause it has Bluetooth (and came with an amp/sub)
S*** is still some of the heaviest trap music ever released, over ten years later
Trap God 1 remains my favorite trap album, duflocka rant 2 close

The playlist includes like half of trap back lol
~70% is pre (most recent) prison stay, then some of his newer stuff and select songs from radrick era and prior
His most recent tape is insane if you haven't heard it, complete call back to those old eras
But yeah I been smoking and drinking a bit celebrating tonight, got fired up before a big exam with gucc
One of my older neighbor friends loved The Game/50 cent/G unit so I got really into that style like 4 or 5th grade
Middle school got obsessed with old school rap especially NY rap especially after hearing Nas and Jay
When Yeezus dropped changed my perspective on current hip hop, especially with guys like Travis and Thug popping off, started to love the new styles that were coming out
Listening to Monster by future and the projects he dropped that year, I liked Honest but since Monster Future has been one of my favorites
Got into Alternative/indie music a lot more in 2018 after going to a show

how does he still do it. Good luck on your exam brother
TPAB cause of the insane layering, structuring, story telling, lyricism, the mixing and sound fx, everything just blew my damn mind
Rodeo how it sounded, the textures, the atmospheres, the melodies, the layers, the way he used autotune
The Doors, more so in general, that 60s psychedelic sound was very refreshing to me, how loose the structures were, very imaginative lyrics, the rawness of the voice, the instrumentation
Like as a hip hop head this was a whole diff world
Portishead/Radiohead, by this time I sorta knew I loved dark music, heavy drums, melancholic feels and these 2 gave that in their own unique way and it's so brutal, a song like Everything in It's Right Place, when I play it/perform it, it morphes straight back into my depressed self from 3 yrs ago, brutal darkness and apathy, making sense of nonsense whilst knowing ur sanity and ego basically don't exist
If music hits that good and deep ya just know it's special
