Olivia Rodrigo and Doja Cat albums Def relevant for more than a month

Can we classify those albums as “really really successful” when they don’t even move 300k first week

Well he released the album four different times and added an Ariana Grande remix a year later. That album’s relevance definitely got juiced

Yes. First week sales matter less than ever. Labels much rather have an album selling 30k in its 15th week than 300k first week and falling off by the 5th week

    Sometimes I might be..

  • WLR is honestly one of those albums that’ll be in the “choose 1 to live with for the rest of your life” Twitter posts like NWTS, 2014, GKMC, TPAB etc it’s the last album that feels like is truly cemented and didn’t come and go

A rapper who got exposed with Blackface, a rapper who got exposed in a racial chat room, and a country singer who got exposed saying the N word.\

Edit: Just realized this is an old thread I already posted on lol.

  • WLR for sure. Only instant classic I can think of for the past few years

If I’m gauging what OP means in regards to success + “things happening” then SOUR is the closest thing to a most recent answer

    but it’s really Scorpion/Invasion of Privacy/Astroworld
