When they took each other on who can outsell they other. What if 50 won?

Kanye came off the back of two classic albums and Graduation is a brilliant album. Maybe 808s wouldn’t have been made and we would’ve had an earlier version of MBDWTF so he could get the game back?

Pretty hard to say tbh I feel like it would lead to T.I becoming the next superstar though and ATL’s movement rising a bit earlier. You’d have Jeezy, Gucci and T.I as the big 3 into the next decade imo. 50 was kind of losing relevance after people clowned him for Amusement Park and AYO Technology. Maybe you get the Coke Boys wave bigger but who knows.

Nothing really. 50 could’ve won if he released I Get Money appropriately. He kinda stumbled into that song.

But yea nothing. Ye impact was already there it was just a great rollout for both.

Do you not think it would’ve halted Ye?

  • idk I was like a kid lol

but from what I’ve heard ppl were kinda over 50 either way, if anything the sales battle helped him out

No. Ye was already Ye at that point. Same thing for 50.
People think 50 decline came from that battle but it was the music in general. He was getting worse whereas Ye was consistent. I Get Money saved his rollout but once the albums actually dropped you knew it wasn’t the same 50. Regardless of first week sales, the consensus had Graduation being way better at the time. The anticipation for future projects would’ve been the same for Ye.

Nothing would have changed, 808s has been made because of the death of his mother.

Everything would have been different if his mother was still alive, because he was on top of the world with Graduation, he was clearly happy at that time, the following album would have been A Good Ass Job, as it was already plan since The College Dropout
