Holy s*** how did I miss this

I think he could have survived if he still had the growth as a person and musician he has showcased; however I feel like his past would be less forgotten and he would be significantly less big.

  • Mr America

Im bi so im not tryna be homophobic or anything i just noticed that him coming out was a huge turning point in his career and image

What kinda men you into? 👀

  • Nov 8, 2024

Like, people who just care about the music would still f*** with him, but he would lose a good chunk of the flower child progressive white girl demographic he has on lock right now; because they would find it harder to forgive his “homophobic” past

  • it’s hard to say flower boy made him bc wolf and cherry bomb was getting actual praise from like adults and he was a serious artist way before then too but fb really did shift him closer to the place he is at now

see you again isn’t really the streaming hit it is without tiktok… i don’t really know… igor and flower boy are some of his biggest albums and the themes on those albums are very explicitly about being bisexual

i think tyler would still be a big artist if the music was the same but u don’t really get his two biggest albums without him being bi so idk

  • Nov 8, 2024

He wouldn’t be as big as he’s become pause

  • browser

Right leaning edgelord in Supreme tbh

Wouldnt have gone so hard to make the soft flowery black boy joy s*** apart of his brand and probably doubled down into what made money like he ended up doing in the opposite direction

“Just walk away from the computer nigga” lmaoo i actually wanna see this variant of bra

It would’ve just been Hopsin type lyrics over Tyler production

But there’s also the possibility he just gets in his luxury/brag rap Pharrell type era faster

I mean it was a turning point because accepting it changed who he was and he made better more appealing music out of it.

Asking this is like saying "Where would Jay Z be if he was straight?" Like somewhere totally different

He's that same guy now just look at how he responded to the Taylor fans or even how he treated Jerrod Carmichael.

he would be working at mcdonalds

  • Nov 8, 2024

Niggas acting like the gay stimulus got him where he is

the timeline where tyler said f* in songs and came out is the same timeline

  • Nov 8, 2024

I think Flower Boy saved his career tbh. Cherry Bomb was a rough listen and by 2017 no one cared about odd future like that anymore. Him coming out as bi and dropping that fire is why he's still relevant rn

Him coming out wasn’t the only thing that changed

He also changed his entire aesthetic and subject matter as well as, most importantly the sound of his music lol

    Kee

weird thread, but potentially still blackballed

People not liking his music ≠ blackballed

  • Nov 8, 2024

He probably catches more flack for the homophobic bars early in his career

  • Nov 8, 2024

He’d be viewed as a homophobe

  • Nov 8, 2024

it would look like the first half of his career

  • Nov 8, 2024

He def wouldn’t have the appeal to the urban outfitter community.
Probably would’ve been more underground. Still with a cult following just not as big.

  • Nov 8, 2024

    Less use of gay chords

  • Nov 8, 2024

i always thought he was trolling about being queer i’m ngl !! this makes me like him more tho

  • Nov 8, 2024

Probably the same since he only came out half recently. If he wasnt joking about it and stuff idk
