With how stale gaming is now I noticed there aren’t really any quality games that simulate the music industry, and the journey an artist can take especially not in a realistic way. Would something like running a label, signing artists and producers as well as managing marketing and sales be appealing to any of you or just consumers in general? Any suggestions or ideas for this hypothetical game would be cool to hear from you guys.

  • Ehh that sound like something that would’ve been fun back when I was like 13.

You can sexually assault your artists but your risk of being canceled goes up, and if your artist dies you get a huge increase in revenue.

In control of SGP you go on an adventure after Rocky who is the final boss, but you have to periodically find meds to prevent you from being schizophrenic. Every time you run out of meds SGP posts a wild tweet that makes Rocky know your position, making it harder on the chase

if your fanbase gets too white you start losing popularity. u gotta balance making money with not being too mainstream

The game wouldn’t be just a bout rap, I would envision something like a label mode (like franchise in sports games) and artist mode (career mode) I think you could balance it by making the white fan base increase popularity and sales while balancing the original target market and having to choose to appeal to the new market or the old one and whether or not it impacts your staying power or ending up as a fad or phase

I think to make it as realistic as possible integrate a in game social media mechanic as well as tabloids and interviews to shape the narrative around your signed artists as well as putting in controversies related to music as well as the artists personal life

if your character has the addict trait, there should be a minigame everytime you go to the studio where you have to balance not overdosing with getting high

I would make it more grounded, addiction trait can either make your artists projects dogshit and fall off or fuel creativity depending on the substance and the artists other stats/traits
