you don't get to say "well he purposely made a trash song, so it doesn't count as a bad song". a garbage song is still garbage
Nah the added context we got months later about Drake wanting to rap on that beat and being pressed made it hilarious
Songs like Ye vs the people are worse because they fail to make the point Kanye is trying to make. To him, he released Lift Yourself as a joke song to f*** with Drake and Ye vs the people as a deep conscious track alongside it. Except Ye vs the people isn't deep at all and it doesnt help u understand why he was wilding so hard in that time period. Kanye wanted to make a Saint Pablo/Gorgeous tier lyrical track and that just wasnt it

But I feel like you do get to say that. If u didn’t find it funny, that’s fine, but I just find it a little hard to get worked up over a track that has the same energy as an April Fools joke.
