  • Car theft is slept on. Very easy to do, cops unlikely to investigate, and more money to be made than d*** dealing

    Huh, interesting

I hate being dragged to the casino but feel like I should learn this all. I always just lose money. Hate the casino unless there's a cool performance

It takes a while to get comfortable tbh, which is why whenever I go with someone for their first time, I give out as many pointers as possible because I know a lot of longtime gamblers who lost an unnecessarily large amount of money at the beginning.

    A few tips:

    1. Only bring a set limit of cash, your casino card, and your ID. Do not bring bank/ATM cards, leave those in the car. This prevents you from pulling out extra funds you don't need, because if you feel like you have to, you've already went over the limit and are acting on impulse and desperation.

    2. Treat your gambling amount (the money you bring into the casino) as a luxury. You are not owed a profit, and that which you bring is more than likely being forfeited. Because of this, you technically do not go into a deficit.

    3. Explore different games. It's okay to browse the many slot machine options to find comfortable alternatives. There's no pressure so long as you take your time. Keep an eye out for different games and their bonuses. Most will either have a display that tells you when the minigames will activate (a jar/bag of coins that increase per special spin, a countdown, etc.).

    4. Leave "luck" at home. You aren't going to win because of an imaginary "hot seat", or because "I'm so close, I just HAVE to spin a few more times. It's bound to hit!" It's (mostly) all algorithmic and randomly generative odds based off of what's been played so far.

    5. Invest effort into a location. Through active membership comes great offers, discounts (food), and events that present possibilities to win something.

    6. Develop a splitting method for money you win. For example, if I'm walking into a casino with just $100, then I'm looking to double that at the bare minimum. Whenever I win a good portion, I print the ticket and cash out, then divide/pocket money until I reach the original $100. I'll repeat until I've met my desired plus, or until I'm just tired.

    Server at a nice steakhouse

300-400 on an okay dinner shift three days a week makes out to about 52k/year for a 12 hour work week

I live close enough to a great new casino, feel like I really gotta get into this. I might start researching what to look for with these algorithms

I got so many friends who always want to go and most the time I just won't lol

New casinos will probably have very stacked promotional rewards to get folks visiting from the nearby area, so that's a good start.

Just remember that it all starts with your mental before the money. Enjoy yourself and be aware of what's happening.
