Because I'm 100% positive that Palestinians don't like the "less than bad" option either, because that "less than bad" option was literally VP to the president who was actively sending money and weapons to the force that is responsible for enacting genocide upon them, and has also said that she supports Israel and has taken donation money from Israeli organizations.

If you're able to get behind the side that was actively sending money and weapons to Israel, giving them the means to enact and continue a genocide, and still call them a "lesser evil" then go for it. I hope you're able to justify it however you can. But frankly I don't care to hear it, and it kinda just ends up supporting my original post about normalizing "the lesser of two evils" is weird.

When there’s a big enough movement to get behind, I can buy into this argument. But that’s just not where we are. Kamala plans on reinstating Roe V Wade, that’s a big issue to me. I don’t feel comfortable with the idea of protesting the election knowing the outcome of a Trump presidency would continue to strip away progress, when I could’ve just voted for a more ideal. This just feels completely counterproductive.

Seemingly, our government is going to continue to do that. But we can at-least dictate to some extent how they’ll go about it. I understand the morals of not wanting to “support” either candidate, but one of them is winning regardless. If there’s one that’s more ideal, then it makes sense to vote for them.

And that's the thing, you BUILD that movement. Now if you're not willing to do the work that goes into building class power from the place where we're at now. Sure. But don't talk down on those who correctly see it as a necessity to do so. Especially because electorally there is only a range of different flavors of evil.

I’m not talking down on anybody? I agree that you need to build a movement, but it’s quite literally not there at the moment. We’re not going to see an ideal course of action taken by our government when it comes to Israel, at this point in time. What we can do, is lessen the atrocities we commit to atleast some extent.

This is also such a difficult position for me to process because you can do both of these things simultaneously.
