This just made me remember some odd s*** i came across a few years ago

Was visiting San Francisco and went to Japantown, and in the mall there they have what is basically a japanese dollar tree with a ton of random stuff thats japan-related. I picked up a plastic ear pick cause i use q-tips every morning and i'd never seen a scoop-shaped ear pick like that before.

It's just like this one:

In that pic, the bottom end is a thin, flattened little shovel head so you can scoop any wax out instead of possibly pushing it further in with a q-tip.

However, the top part in that pic is strange. It's shaped like a q-tip head (same size too) but it has little notches cut in it almost like a screw.

Then i looked at the packaging and it said: "Double sided ear pick! Flat site for European ears, round side for Japanese ears."

I have never actually looked it up, but every time i pick it up to use it, im like "are they bullshitting or are the inner ears really that different between those groups?"
