Its wild how both these series have an extensive collection on PS3 (including their PSP sidegames) & a massive fanbase but its literally inaccessible on current and last gen & even on PC

S*** is so stupid

You can play that on a PS1 emulator easy on any computer

But also they still make Digimon World games and others, I would recommend Digimon Cyber Sleuth for something more modern

Great JRPG on PS4 & Switch with so many mons & you can have a team of 12 & the story is extensive

Might know already but yeah Microsoft owns them (Bethesda as a whole) this gen and iirc Chaos Theory is a Microsoft exclusive from way back in the day.

Series S isnt worth it if youre looking forward to playing newer titles like Starfield and s***. Its only good as a Gamepass streaming device - which you need great internet for.

Titles like Hogwarts Legacy run like ass on it. Unstable framerate and at 720 to 800p... its a watered down ps3 and developers have been complaining since late last year that its ass and bottlecapping their games (which is probably why games are running like ass on it now ), so it running newer games like ass plus developers complaining - it will probably get dropped in the next year or two.

If you want a Series JUST for older gen gaming and/or have the good internet for Gamepass streaming, then go for it. Otherwise that $100 saved is gonna do more harm than good with a half assed PS3.

S*** is so dumb the collection isnt just ported to PS4. I understand why MGS4 isnt ported right now since its a native PS3 exclusive and those are hard af to port due to PS3's unique architecture.

But everything else should be portable to current and last gen. The collection included remasters of the PSP Metal Gear Solid games too and gave them MGS4 camera controls s*** is so dope

God of War & Metal Gear Solid are top 10 game series for me of all time & yet I cant play 90 percent of their libraries of the last TWO recent console gens as of now

Thank God Konami FINALLY announced the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake & the Metal Gear Solid 4 remaster. S***s gonna take forever tho, neither of them have a release date & there is no gameplay footage yet. And anything God of War related prior to 4 is dead silent on Sony's end I dont think we're ever getting them

And with God of War they only ported God of War 3 over on PS4 & it is compatible with PS5, BUT everything else is not LMAO. I think you can play God of War 2 on their PSNow service but that service is so f***ing s*** and expensive & its only for streaming. And the PS3 has another God of War exclusive locked away. God of War Ascension which is a prequel to the whole series & it along with The Last of Us 1 was the final PS3 first party major games before the PS4. I never have been able to play it - its the only one in the whole series I havent touched - and IDK WHY IT DIDNT GET A CROSS GEN PORT LIKE GOW3 AND LAST OF US

God of War also had an amazing collection like MGS on PS3 only where GOW of 1 n 2 were remastered & the PSP sidegames got modified to fit the PS3 in terms of screen size & camera controls + upscaling. Those 2 collections are literally the definitive way of playing both series' PSP games, not even PSP Emulators can compete

S*** makes no sense why over a THIRD of both gigantic & iconic Sony series are locked away on PS3 & older. I had to vent - it makes me f***ing mad & puts me in a bad mood every time I think about it or want to play them.

Xbox has a lot of 360/ps3 era games exclusive and 3rd party, its one of the few genuine positives and 1ups it has over sony and nintendo
