pauls boutique is at least a top 15 rap album oat no debate

hot sauce committee part 2 is underrated as hell too

I like To the 5 Boroughs. It’s like a middle-aged Licensed to Ill. I can throw it on without wanting to skip anything, which I can absolutely not say for Licensed to Ill but I don’t know that the highs are as high; there’s no “Paul Revere” on there. To the 5 Boroughs is a weirder record but it’s also a much safer record at the same time.
I think Paul’s Boutique and Check Your Head are probably the best. Ill Communication has better singles than Check Your Head but it also kind of drags, which puts it more in Hello Nasty/Hot Sauce Committee grab bag territory for me.

Paul’s Boutique might be my favorite album of all time, but I’ve also been listening to it since I was 10 so I’m very biased.

i was really big into the first two as a kid growing up, i should probably go back and revisit the other ones, I dont really remember listening to them
