Yea it’s straight up exciting!
We only used 2 Behringer x32 one for FOH & the other for the recording.

Because of Covid, we can finally experiment. We recorded the stems to create this landscape in post.

The venue itself seats about 800 people so they have a good experience.

My thing was, since the venue is temp closed, how do we provide people w the BEST experience? An immersive 7.1 concert 🔥🔥

You don't have a 7.1 mixdown of songs, so you have to create your own, and then assign them to each speaker?

If that's the case how are you deciding what gets played on each speaker etc?

Is there software that handles 7.1 mixing that you use or is all being done on the Beringer?

Usually our online broadcast is the typical stereo because of live streaming limitations. Since we’re not “live” technically, we can do some dope s***

Surround sound is naturally better than the typical panning because now we’re involving an atmosphere. I’ve always wanted to do this but due to limitations at various sets we weren’t able in times past.

Man, even if ya have a zoom recorder it’s worth pullin as much stems as possible. A digital mixer into a DAW allows for endless possibilities
