I had to tell off my coworker the other day, her habit of speaking disrespectfully and demeaning me got too far. I see her as a friend, and I wasn’t overly angry but I sternly told her off saying she cannot speak to me the way she has been and use me as a punching bag on days she feels bad. She was really sad and depressed for the rest of the day and while part of me feels guilty it also seems as though she simply doesn’t know how to take stern criticism. I just hope these next couple of days we can make amends, because again I see her as a friend and if anything me telling her this privately was a gesture of respect.
