ctfu this reminds me when my friend showed me their friends paper and they cited Aimé Césaire talking about racism within the loser community
I’m sick of being h**** shamed. I like sexy s*** nigga. F*** you.
Making art alone isn't as fun
what you mean
Gotta hit my muscles harder
what you mean
collaborating, sending out songs, sharing your art, getting feedback, vs just making s*** and keeping it to yourself

you don't have to keep it for yourself, until now I used to keep my art process very serious and didn't wanted to drop anything that's not official, packed as a product and released on streaming platforms
from now on I'll just randomly drop stuff on youtube and if I feel like, on streaming too, but I'm realizing it's more about doing stuff than about seeking for validation from people that tomorrow will forget whatever they listened to from me (I'm not saying you're seeking for validation or something, just talking from my own pov)

i feel this but my thing is it takes time and effort to release art properly, i dont know what the smartest route is for marketing and releasing, because obv if u dont nail that part no one will tune in rly and its essentially as if you never released at all. couple that with a lack of feedback and collaboration and its easy to get stuck with your art
i just think its fun to collaborate and share art, rn i think everyone is preoccupied with their own lives so its not rly easy to find people to work with
@offline just seems like something you’d know about so u have any links to good free jungian archetype test

well this depends on what your ultimate goal in creating art is
if your goal is to market your art so that people will tune in, then you'll probably find yourself discouraged at the amount of work you need to put in and the small amount of recognition you get in exchange, and, as james blake said recently, we shouldn't be viral entertainers on social media in order to be artists
collaborating with other artists is always fun but that can be done without having to market yourself and stress about views and fame and stuff like that
I think in order to find people and also receive feedback is to stay active and find your place on the internet, I personally think community driven places like soundcloud and youtube are the best place for this kind of things, you just have to stick to your own image and keep pushing until you break the algorithm
that said, I just finished a random track that I will put out on youtube on friday, cause why the f*** not
screw all that mumbo jumbo marketing and anticipation and countdowns and stuff like that, I do this for myself in first place, I just want to leave my footprint, no matter the size of it, who knows maybe in 30 years I will be subject of a video essay about mysterious artists

this is all valid, i think for me its just the day to day life of trying to find something that clicks gets old to me, like i might make a song i rly like every day or 2 but thats not enough to make me feel fulfilled, and im generally creatively stuck
edit: are u into jungle/dnb?
@offline just seems like something you’d know about so u have any links to good free jungian archetype test
I don't know that much about Jung unfortunately, but I remembered this thread which links to this test, who knows how good it is but
and coincidentally we're both on the first page
its this one girl who is exactly my type and she on the bus i ride, my dumb ass walked by her without giving eye contact and smiling, like i know she is interested just cus i know that type of thing, im kicking myself for that s***. need to be way more confident

yeah bro I love the simplicity that brings dnb, I’m a fan of that sound and ambient and someday I will manage to combine both of them
I will move out on summer and believe that will be the breaking point cause I will stop using my PC for making music, I feel like I need a new way to create stuff, I’m too comfortable right now lol

My friend cant get employed and he has a baby + wife
He gets rejected from low skill labour jobs too. No money and time to upskill
S*** is f***ed

On the dnb part, I'm obsessed with those chords and sounds, I've been sorta implementing some mix of dnb and trap, s*** is interesting rly Spacey melodic sounds with riding bass and percussion

this track made me fell in love with this genre, listen to this s*** mane, makes me shed tears everytime I listen to it

Im in that state of mind where everything is kind of just a void. I was thinking earlier tonight, the one thing that I want the most right now is strength. When did everything become so difficult? I am unsure whether this act of diarising my thoughts will render anything meaningful for the future. I feel like an island, which is in part a good thing because it means Im growing into my own star. I believe this is part of the process, feeling extreme isolation. A coworker talked to me today and I felt like she was a million miles away, not even in the same reality. I have uncontrollable addictions right now - caffeine and nicotine and in some ways marijuana which keeps calling to me so I can indulge my extremely demonic sexual depravity. It feels like its been laid bare to passersby and small facial expressions give away that they might know.
"What on earth is going on?" - I keep thinking this without the words. Ive been sucked into a vortex of some kind. Whether it will bear fruits, I am unsure. Im on the precipice of failure yet I keep pushing onwards and finding reality folding up, because of the technology that I have discovered at random. Previous inner lives in this incarnation have driven me to discovery but what will drive me now that its been erased? How far can I drive through burnout before it inverts and I become new again.
