I've heard so many stories of people going in for minor surgery and then it turns into a life threatening or super painful complication, doctors tend to be over confident and they're also rushed and stressed so they might not be paying as much attention as they should. Also a ton just lack intuition for how to treat people, they go by the book but miss the nuance
