Imagine taking the sacrifice to serve your country in the military - hell, some POWs did not even have a choice because of the draft, get sent to fight in a foreign land, and get captured by the enemy. Not all POW make it out alive and others are severely mistreated, abused, and sometimes tortured.

Regardless of your take on war and the military it is showing respect to those folks. I am not expert on the topic, but damn, man... lighten up
