the algorithms are expressed is very simple imo. i think it's simply a matter of being able to follow directions and repurposing that ability into being able to create them.

the algorithms are supposed to have an observable end result/goal. that's one major factor you're aware of, and you can use it as an asset to solving the problem. i think.
