    Not that high maintenance, but they can be loud af..especially the males. They also poop a lot. I used to let mine fly around the safe areas house. They'll eventually fly back their cage for food or you'll need to entice them with some treats. Some people clip their wings so they don't fly and just glide to the ground, but clipping a bird's wings seems f***ed up. You do need to train and tame them though..which can take a lot of time...but worth it in the end. Mine could sing "if you happy and you know it clap your hands" and say "pretty bird." They also live 20+ years, lol (cockatiels).

    Clipping wings is f***ed but knowing me they’d for sure fly away. Having to lure it back to its cage and s*** sounds like work

    You’ve given me something to think about tho. I kinda wanna parrot just so i can teach it some catch phrases
