I stand by that. Blue Album is about what you’d expect from a quirky band. It’s a great version of that, but Pinkerton’s a different world. That hits my soul.

There have been less than 10 debut albums since it that have been either equal or better

this is the only stuff that matters

no offense but everything else is just leagues worse

there’s great songs on their other records, but it’s just a diff level of quality tbh

pinkerton is on a diff level

i probably overall like blue more but pinkerton means so much more to me

it’s one of the few albums that even tho i’ve “outgrown” it, still means a lot to me

Nah I feel u Pinkerton got me through a lot in 2019 but Blue is just such a perfect vibe to plah all the guitar is so bright and feels so good

It's Blue, which is also one of the best rock albums ever, Ric Ocasek bodies that s***, but Pinkerton is honestly not that far behind. I understand not liking that one but it blew my mind when I was 13 and it still holds up.

That explains it then. I tend not to gravitate towards music that feels good. I’m much more Yeezus than Graduation for instance haha. Love the tortured, self-deprecating s***.
