Half-Life 2 and nothing will come close. It’s ridiculous how a game released in 2004 can still feel fresh and innovative; to this day I spent hundreds of hours playing whether it be stuck on the “puzzles” trying to get to the next area (that included real life physics like buoyancy and weight) or repeatedly dying and trying to figure out the best ways to navigate a level. Not to mention s*** that was wayyyyyy ahead of its time for 2004 like the gravity gun (my god), or the fact that there aren’t really cutscenes and the entire game just flows together. I recommended anyone who hasn’t heard of this game to at least watch a walkthrough on YouTube, I guarantee it’ll be worth it. There’s also it’s predecessor Half Life which predates it.
I'm gonna narrow it down to two games:
Path of Exile -- The greatest ARPG ever, so far. Hands down. Insane amount of content, depth, and complexity. Pretty hard to get into, but is insanely addicting. I've been playing it since I was 14 (?) in Closed Beta, and it's still just growing and growing. The pinnacle of F2P games.
Starcraft II - The best competitive game OAT imo. So, so much skill required to play at a high level and it was the apex of esports in its prime. Custom games were amazing + the level editor was so amazing. Campaign was solid overall, but didn't match up to Starcraft 1's story. Still a really fun game, but man was it crazy during WoL and HotS. Probably Blizzard's last incredible game before they went down the s***ter.
Half life 2
Rdr2
Witcher 3
Ocarina of time
Idk which one is number 1. Different days different game

Tenkaichi 3 Xenoverse never really lived up to the hype for me but to be fair I didn’t put as much time into it as previous dbz games

Game was so insanely ahead of it's time. It's wondrous to go back and play now, with how many games are just soulless products currently

Halo ODST or RDR2, can't choose
Halo ODST remained in my nostalgic childhood where I would spend entire nights playing with my friend on his xbox, then later I got my own xbox but he moved to ps fam but we would play Halo ODST firefights for like hours and the campaing was so dark atmospheric I loved every aspect of it.
I really can't list one.
I've played so many that are in that tier.
Witcher 3
Red dead 2
Botw
Super Mario world
Mario 64
Ocarina
