in my last year of high school everyone was growing their hair out, so I didn't cut for probably 9 months and it got pretty long

I looked sooooo much better after the haircut tho
long hair doesn't suit me

Like a year or two when I grew my hair out. Long hair requires too much maintenance and it gets hot too.

Wear hats and beanies. There's always this awkward phase where your hair looks stupid where it's not long or short but just keep going. It'll look better when it grows out.

got jaded with barbers f***ing up my hair so grew it out for around 5-6 months. looked good for a while but it grew into a bit of a mullet and i couldn't be bothered to push thru the awkward stage so got it cut a month or so ago lol. mfs cut it way shorter than i wanted so we back to growing it out
