    the rolling hi hat spam s*** only became a thing bc of how easy it is to do in FL

    same for the type of beats that came in with the soulja boy era as opposed to the beat machine era that preceeded it

    so the next evolution of beats that truly is beyond trap music gon come from new equipment/new capabilities provided by DAWs

    boom bap/drum machines > post lex trap beats/fl and other digital DAWs > whatever comes next/the thing that kids born in 2010 feel like has an easier/cooler workflow than FL lol

    it’s def easy in fl but thats not why it became a thing. Southside n them def popularized tht. Fl been had that capability for a decade before it became popular
