im mad trash i just duck them, dont play them games that much
I always wanted to be really good at fighting games cause I really enjoy them, but I was just not the kind of person who clicks with them I guess, which I why I never play them anymore. I was never even good at f***ing Smash Bros lol. I was pretty decent at Mortal Kombat 1-3, the Tekken games, and Bloody Roar — and by "pretty decent" I mean that I could whoop my brother and dad in them, but got my ass handed to me at the arcade.
But I'm sure the real answer goes something like:
• A serious a dedication to memorize button combos and what moves can bridge off each other, character positions, techniques, and the characters themselves.
• A whole lot of patience
• At a certain higher point of competition, you'll need to start memorizing frames and s***
• Learning how to predict what your opponent is going to do, not just from their character's movements, but also how they might react/counter whatever your planning to do, and how you plan to answer them. Just always trying to stay 2-3 steps ahead but to the point where it becomes second nature to you
• Play at arcades, if any still exist around you. Arcade boards are vastly superior versions of the game compared to home console, especially with fighting games. If you cant play at an arcade, then invest in an arcade face controller to use at home
Hate these aggressive ass games
Can't play Mortal Kombat nor Street Fighter for more than a few rounds
Aggressive?
the secret is playing the game
Literally studying the game and combos top to bottom. Never had the patience whatsoever so I always been admittedly trash. Not my thing at all.
