BGThe site in general places too much emphasis on peoples political and social commentary being the core of their identity. I think this in turn is changing how people view each other as a whole, ignoring a lot of nuances and layers of a persons character in favour of hot topic opinions being a primary source of judgement.
It’s not this site, that’s how it is nowadays. I disagree with it but a lot of people’s identity strongly and emotionally revolves around these things
