If you're born physically one gender and you feel like another, that is like an anomaly right? Or like not normal. Not a mental illness but it is like an outlier of some sort... right?
The DSM V defines it as "clinically significant distress or impairment related to a strong desire to be of another gender, which may include desire to change primary and/or secondary s***characteristics."
Also not all trans people have dysphoria
gender roles predate language
yeah and we grew from fish and no longer need to live in the stone ages hunting and gathering
gender roles predate language
Society evolves and they’ve become less needed
transgenderism ≠ mental illness
@blonded Im literally trying to learn about this calm down. I read something that you have to have gender dysphoria (which is a mental illness?) to be transgender. That is what I meant, which i understand i worded horribly
page 1: hey lock this thread it’s just going to lead transphobic comments
page 11: multiple transphobic comments

im just pointing out ur fallacious argument no malevolence intended lol
you're describing gender dysphoria. one of the "cures" so to speak to solving gender dysphoria is transitioning.
If people en mass are experiencing gender dysphoria does it not seem logical to explore why so many people are experiencing this rather than just encouraging everyone to transition. Nothing against those who transition but seems like there may be larger things at play than individuals just experiencing gender dysphoria without being influenced by some outside cultural and economic forces at least
Tf is going on
what you think
no you dont need to suffer from gender dysphoria to be transgender
Thank you. Now I know. Apologies if my previous post rubbed people the wrong way, I worded that wrong.

There's nothing fallacious about my argument though? If gender roles never existed then being transgender wouldn't exist.
