2021 was nice because artists returned to the past but spun incredible takes on it, jana n tisa just took it next level. summer walker was close amongst so many others but was still mining the past
Dec 9, 2021rx friendly ghostugly mane has lots to talk about in that he led the glorification of real life strife and pillaging of a decade of trauma rap through his lil memphis rap project, but im glad he's realised he had to pivot to heinous psych pop to keep his thing going. i applauded that self-actualisation until i listened and then realised he was really just going for the next generation of sonemic writers
