you had tons of classic youtube videos from people like smosh, pewdiepie, the whole youtube poop thing was at its peak, tumblr was pushing people to be creative (this kinda bled into the whole soundcloud rap wave at the time), minecraft and cod were the biggest games in the world, worldstar was at its peak (remember the wshh compilations on youtube with hella fight vids and ig thots at the end? ), vine was putting me onto hella new rappers that would later blow up off the platform, and near the end of that period we saw what i consider the last breath of the "wild west" era of the internet with people like filthyfrank, idubbz, etc.

2005-2010. Internet was wild back then. We would say whatever we wanted but nobody really gave a f***. Shock videos were at a peak as long as they didn’t involve animals. YouTube wasn’t full of pansies. 2015 is when everyone got way too sensitive.
