"be aware of what's being said before I get a chance to speak for myself... People are saying things about me that aren't true"

Damn ktt aint gonna like that

Anyway I like his points on people speaking on him with conviction, folks here love to speak down on nigga like Kyrie and call em weird while not realizing how weird that directed judgement within itself.

Media been mimicking this rhetoric about him which makes everyone talk assuredly about the situation and cast judgment as if they know him and ultimately don’t feel weird bout it bc the next person was taught to think the same about him/it.

Glad he spoke for himself at least,
People don’t realize everything else b stories

He’s right about the media speaking down on him but his stance on not getting vaccinated is really confusing. He doesn’t want to get vaccinated because of mandates??? But had to follow them last season anyways? I love Kyrie and he seems like a great person but a lot of times he brings the bad press on himself. He’s not making a stand against the helpless in this situation like he thinks he is. And if I was one of his teammates I’d be annoyed being that the team can potentially win a championship this year.

    Wild avi

  • There's a lot to cover here

  • Dude is too focused on being a martyr for a cause than anything else at this point.

And if he really cared about “the voiceless” he’d have spoken up months ago. The media has been pressing him for months and he’s always said “it’s personal private decision” yet NOW it’s about being a voice for the voiceless? Get this s*** outta here

    Kyrie is a loser

    he has justified points sometimes,

but whether it’s injuries, protests, the media, mental health, vaccines, or whatever’s next…

if there’s a reason not to play, Kyrie WILL find it and die on that hill

That's on him though. You can't claim to want to be "a voice for the people" and the first time we hear your actual voice is after the team said you can't play

    He's not anti-vax, he anti-anti-anti-vaxxers

His auntie out here talm bout "Dr. False-y" (Fauci). So I don't see how we're supposed to think differently if he's just now saying something.

My sentiments exactly, the mandates are od. Allow people to make the choice to make life decisions. The hate and conclusions on both sides are over emotional.

That's his auntie and not Kyrie. Do you think everyone in ones family thinks the same? It's as if you formed an opinion without listening to the video

  • It’s my business what my perspective on this speech is.

If this has been going on for months, and the only person speaking is his aunt (who runs his foundation and other professional aspects of his career), then I'm going to assume that's how Kyrie feels as well. Again, he only spoke when the team put their foot down.

I stopped listening when he pulled up unvaxxed and maskless to the reservation and set a horrible example for all those brown people that idolize him

kyrie dumb for not getting vaccinated but why is his aunt involved ?

  • Can’t be bothered by him or anything he has to say at this point

This is not an isolated situation. He will literally find any excuse not to play and make it his entire argument. Coulda spoke about this prior but no it’s always when he’s knee deep in not playing

Cuz she's out here giving quotes on media day in his place

I 100% agree, and the consequences that come with that is businesses not hiring you, firing you, not letting you enter restaurants, gyms, etc the anti-vaxxers must live with them

    nba.nbcsports.com/2021/09/26/nets-kyrie-irving-reportedly-liking-coronavirus-conspiracy-theories-online

"Irving, who serves as a vice president on the executive committee of the players’ union, recently started following and liking Instagram posts from a conspiracy theorist who claims that “secret societies” are implanting vaccines in a plot to connect Black people to a master computer for “a plan of Satan.” This Moderna microchip misinformation campaign has spread across multiple NBA locker rooms and group chats, according to several of the dozen-plus current players, Hall-of-Famers, league executives, arena workers and virologists interviewed for this story over the past week."

I guess influential millionaires spreading dangerous misinformation isn't "hurting" anybody
