    What’s that middle one?

Edit: nvm I saw u mentioned the name. Listening now

    I like this

Technique by New Order. It's got great pop tunes but it's also draped in melancholy. I'd check any album by the band they're one of the greatest synthpop bands ever
    EDIT
Just saw you started listening. It's a grower for sure. Also the best songs on the b side

    I can safely pick my top two;

Bad is number one, by far. Probably the biggest and best pop album of all time in terms of hits - if not at least toe to toe with Thriller.

And Rhythm Nation second, my favourite Janet album. The Knowledge is so nasty

Not sure what would round out the list.. need to think.

  • May 26, 2021

Probably my single favourite from that time period

  • 1. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - The Good Son
    2. Pandora's Box - Original Sin
    3. Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden
    4. Metallica - Master of Puppets
    5. Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation

    6. Lou Reed - New York
    7. Big Black - Atomizer
    8. Fugazi - Repeater
    9. B**** Magnet - Umber
    10. Cop Shoot Cop - Consumer Revolt

    11. Swans - Children of God
    12. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Tender Prey
    13. Laughing Hyenas - You Can't Pray a Lie
    14. American Music Club - California
    15. Tom Waits - Frank's Wild Years
