    He already won

Drake has joined the the annals of history alongside Hov, Ye, Pac, Biggie, Eminem.

Push, for all his accomplishments and history will be relegated to the dude who beefed with drake. Nothing more and nothing less

  • It was clearly too personal and Drake decided against releasing it. That means we will never get it. It sucks cuz I think Push/Kanye deserved it considering what they did but hey, at least that shows who's the bigger person.

Drake will undoubtedly have the bigger legacy, but I feel like regulating Push to just “the guy that beefed with Drake” is a little inaccurate.
Clipse had hard as f*** rapping over prime Neptunes beats, Push is featured on many legendary tracks, inspiring the newer generations who are deeper divers to check out his discography too, and Daytona feels like one of the only rap albums of the latter 2010s that everyone agrees is dope as f***, and no one (except Drake stans who aren’t really putting their biases aside) really dogs on.
I think Push’s legacy is secured, but I do think that it will be damaged in the long run by the run in with Drake though. For every one new hip hop fan in the future who wants to check him out because Adidon is an iconic diss track, there will probably be at least five who will be less inclined to give him a chance because they checked out Drake first, and don’t want to “play both sides”

Yeah don’t get me wrong I was banging on lunch tables to the beat of grindin, and Fear of God1/2 were my go to workout mixtapes in college

That being said I def knew a lot of people who saw him in his solo career and said “that new push guy is dope”

Granted I think most people and even casuals can reference his clipse career now (at least I hope lol) it really does feel like everything gets overshadowed by virtue of his beef with drake

Like his music, the tweets he likes, anything is going to be tied to drake until he retires.

And despite winning the beef against drake , the same rules won’t be applied to drake. His legacy won’t be tied to pusha

I think Clipse together might be looked at well but Push alone hasn't really stood on his own as a "great" artist. It's really due to him recycling a lot of the same topics, flows, he doesn't do big concept stuff or get too experimental outside his lane. Yes to the hip-hop head niche we know about him but from a outside perspective he really is just the guy that beefed with Drake in the history books

    Yeah, it’s kinda sad, lol.
I don’t know much about why the beef started, so I won’t say if it was warranted or not, I I just get bummed out when I think about Push losing everything he’s known for in a lot of people’s eyes and just becoming the guy who beefed with Drake.
It would almost automatically not be worth it to me if I was Push, but maybe that says something bad about me. Idk

Agreed with everything and that last part is very true. Whether we like it or not Drake documentaries in the future will be hours long about his entire career covering every album. Pusha T documentaries will mostly be Clipse related until they get to his solo career when all of them will eventually end up being more about Drake than Push himself which is sad to think about

Oh yeah, the average person would know of him as the Drake beef guy, sadly.
Also, I’d personally consider him to be a great solo artist, but I can see why some people might not; he really does have like two topics, lol. Even still, he does those topics really really well, so it’s good enough for me!

    1) this is more of a negative drake thread
    2) drake been throwing shots at kanye with the kim s***. Ian posted screenshots of ye telling him ‘there’s no rules in war’. There’s obviously something brewing behind the scenes

  • Apr 8, 2023

Adidon was 5 years ago. Gotta let it go.
