The other countries that whine and ask for the most powerful nation to do something about whatever they’re complaining about

Alright well you’re relieved of your duty

    You’re inexperienced incompetent and abusive

Like I said I would prefer if we completely ignored other countries and focused on ourselves

But even our citizens constantly want us to butt in and correct injustices around the world. How about we mind our own business and let them figure that out on their own

Once I started taking an interest in American history outside of school. I watched a docu-series called The Untold History of the United States and it was extremely eye opening. Basically learned that most of our leaders ain’t s*** and the rare few that actually wanted to make a positive change get suppressed, chastised, and ostracized

We’re not the heroes of the world we’re just the police. I don’t like that we are but the rest of the world asks for someone to do the job so here we are.

Would be better off completely ignoring all other countries and focusing on our own s***

    Pretty early

My parent made sure that I knew what racism was, so it was hard believing in the whole “One nation, under god, indivisible, with liberty and Justice for all” thing

I don't remember buying into it. Shout out Immortal Technique, Chomsky, and the gang. A lot of that was a juvenile impulse to resist authority but that was a good base to build on.

The one two punch of Obama being a bullshit artist and Hillary kneecapping Bernie without being able to defeat Trump was the end of optimism about it.

Who asks you to do that job?

lots of countries depend on american military

all of NATO, for example. Also, Costa Rica was able to completely disband its military and dedicate all that money to clean energy instead just bc USA says it will defend it if anything happens.

There's definitely parts of the world where US presence is not welcome, but there's also parts where US presence is actively wanted.

it's dumb to see the US as a perfect good guy on the world stage, and it's just as dumb to see it as a purely evil entity
