  • i personally don’t see a problem with using it when it comes to cleaning up audio and other technical aspects (i.e. Peter Jackson and the Beatles), but some people would argue it’s not authentic and audio should be preserved in the state that’s it in.

I think it’s useful for like someone like Beanie who’s performing voice is destroyed and now he’s able to create an album again

But aside from that, I think the aspect you’re referring to can be misused as now it gets recreated in a way the artist never intended

Eh not really. When using autotune you have to manually define every parameter, that’s not AI lmao

damn i didn’t even think about that tbh lol. i’m not that literate when it comes to how ai works, but you putting it that way makes sense…it’s not just a matter of getting rid of the tape hiss; you have to also recreate the music in some way to get the audio to be clear

  • ai that isnt generative is fine

as long as it's not making something that doesnt already exist, if you're just cleaning stuff up its whatever it might come out sounding like s*** but thats up to you

  • Em just used it in a great way. I’m completely fine with artists using it to alter their voice to sound like a young version of themselves
