for any of those that read the book and saw the movie, was this just a bad adaptation or was the book just mid too? I mean the book super successful but it was the author's first novel too

Lol you should def watch it. Its fun but gets extremely cheesy halfway through. It's like a mix of the notebook and a time to kill. Reminds me of sharp object too.

Can't see how the movie could have deviated that much from the book. The ending is cliche at this point but probably works better in a book than a movie
