I was also thinking about it and it feels like it’s been a long time since Drake has just rapped over piano based beats. Maybe I’m forgetting some drops, but a lot of the quintesssential Drake songs across all eras have been over piano beats.. might be another reason why Chicago Freestyle seems to be resonating with a lot of ppl and “bringing back the feeling”.

Dunno to me Scorpion rapping wasn't that far away from Nwts/Views in the first place outside of nonstop. It's just the beats that were different.

To me When to Say When sounds like what Views shoulda been rap-wise.

Chicago sounds like he fused the flows from Elavate and Can't take a Joke and improved it and used it on a more traditional Drake beat and song structure.
