    Justin Bieber twice.

    2010-12 (bieber fever)

2015-17 (when even straight men became stans)

Oh, and yes, Bruno Mars' first era (2010-12) which was bizarrely massive to the point when even grandmas from rural Vietnam probably know deep cuts from that album (Marry You, Talking To The Moon, etc) 😭

All I'm saying is that yes, Taylor is massive rn, but this whole narrative that she's so big, the biggest stardom of the century, the biggest star since MJ feels extremely forced and manufactured. Especially when I can easily mention multiple massive eras from the past years with more impact outside their fanbases and bigger hits

And in my opinion, the biggest stardoms of this century still belong to Justin and Gaga in the early 10s.

All things considered? Not since Adele in 2015 tbh

    Britney in 1999-2000s

    Eminem 90s-00s

Madonna in the 80s (ST, LAV, TB, LAP)

    I mean...

all of this really looks manufactured tbh, she definitely has a VERY dedicated core fanbase but I don't think that translates to MJ levels

  • Nov 13, 2023

She has a huge fan base but she’s still a step below the all time peaks of people like Eminem, Madonna, MJ, etc.

the death of monoculture has certainly played a part since she’s like, one of the last monocultural stars.

If her run was from like 97-2013 instead of 2007-2023 then she probably would have hit those heights but I don’t think it’s even possible

  • Nov 13, 2023

Gaga 2009-2011 was more exciting tbh

Ngl Morgan Wallen is on a crazy run and if he ever gets the pop audience look out

She doesn’t even touch 2016 or 2018 Drake

All her sales are manufactured by manipulating the charts cause she knows her rabid stans will buy the 20th remix of a song that already came out bundled with some other bullshit

No one plays Taylor Swift anywhere aside from her stans

  • Your only big once the government starts riding your cotails and doing psy ops using your brand like the Beatles . But in Taylor’s case it seems she , her team and her fans are the government
