S***s lowkey a predator,Harvey Weinstein anthem. Are they just randomly going up to women and whispering “wait till you see my d***”in their ears in random places? Even if it is at the bar or the club it’s still looking back at it. Song would’ve aged a lot better with a female perspective.

But yeah,WAP more appropriate than this. These dudes had no business whispering “wait till you see my d***”.

Nah,I f*** with WAP,it’s a fun song meant for the clubs and women. That’s it,men have had explicit songs that sexualized women for a min. WAP was needed tbh

  • No. There's been a ton of "WAPs" done by male artists since like the 80s.

Remember how feminists reacted to 'Blurred Lines' when it became successful? WAP should've experienced the same outrage. Can't believe it's getting played on radio smh

WAP only gets the hate it does because it was so popular. might be the most vulgar song to hit number one. so vulgar even that they had to put the clean version on the video when it debuted, in f***ing 2020. might be the first time i’ve seen that.

the vitriol for the song is corny because if these hoes wanna hoe, niggas win because the hoes gotta f*** somebody, so idk why niggas are trippin.

BUT to act like this isn’t hoe music at its most popular in its purest form is stupid. that song will deadass inspire a girl who wouldn’t have been as much of a hoe, to be more of a hoe. it’s simple cause and effect. idc i’m just calling a spade a spade.

they knew that s*** was almost too raunchy to get off that’s why the label made the executive decision to use the clean version, the initial response to the song wasn’t judged as harshly on a moral scale because of this. tbh it was genius !

One song is about nasty ass consensual sex. The other one has date rape undertones and repeated coercion for sex.

Granted the response to Blurred Lines was certainly overblown, there's a very clear difference between that and WAP.

Looking at it from an adult perspective,it was always silly to hate on WAP. It’s an adult song made to excite and that’s what it did. Yeah,it’s pretty raunchy for a #1 song but that comes with the content and controversy it sparked.

As far as children discovering this song and being led down the wrong path. It’s up to parents to monitor this stuff and use the technology at hand(child block anyone)to make sure girls don’t get too focused on stuff like that. Besides, putting child block on Youtube and the algorithm only giving you certain suggestions helps a lot.

You would have to child block every social media app for them to avoid WAP

It’s kinda sad but I think these days, when a child turns 13(male or female)you need to go ahead and have that talk about s***and stuff. Doesn’t mean they need to be going out there doing it and watching WAP,I’ll still block s*** but I think parents have to let their kids know at an earlier age that this stuff is out there.

When has this stuff ever happened though. Kids are gonna find it either way, and now it's a different ballgame of vulgarity in the mainstream
