Do you have a full (or close to full)idea planned to a T, already knowing exactly how you want it? Or do you go with the flow of the work, evolving your song based on what sounds right in the moment?

I trip myself up way too easily lately fussing over sticking to the idea i have that sparks a project or just flying blind and wanted to ask yall :)

sometimes when I try to stick too hard to a topic it comes off forced. what usually works is just do demos of flows saying gibberish that sounds good and then fill out the flows with lines after

i rarely have ideas before i start producing, unless its a sample i have in mind, it all comes to me while working. Sometimes if I get inspiration to go a different idea than I'm heading, I'll just make two projects where i can do both

A lot of the time I'll just record line by line and make s*** up as I go along, or just freestyle and then work with that flow

Used to be more of a writer but like Slingshot said sometimes it comes off as forced when I'm to glued to the lyrics
