consider this. given that everyone has access to the same samples, both of these guys (benjicold and goyxrd) could easily make an alchemist type beat and it would probably be indistinguishable from what alchemist himself does. But ask alchemist to make something that sounds like goyxrd or benjicold and he would s*** his pants.

Alc did more than 80% of producers for the genre without him the underground would have been starving & there would be a lot less free mixtapes or careers & that alone puts him higher than most niggas

yea not every producer can auto do it but most good producers can. it's not very difficult to loop a sample.

the only hard part is finding the good samples, really. and u could argue that being good at crate digging means ur good at making beats but i disagree. I think finding good samples is definitely a useful skill but that alone doesn't make u a top 5 producer
