So like has anybody explained how Utopia is left field or...?
they don’t know lmao
So you expected this album from Travis? This is just Astroworld again?
I already said what I expected seeing as how this was after the Astroworld Fest s***. Thought maybe this would be a more reflective, maybe more emotionally engaged, and thought provoking Travis album. It was none of that save for maybe 2 or 3 lines throughout the album. It was just a regular run of the mill Travis Scott album.
Shameless biting of Kanye, Cudi, and most of his contemporaries throughout. Him getting renegaded by his features, or more commonly the production on the album. Damn near the same exact kinda features you can expect to see on a Travis Scott album. Lyrics that come off like they were spit out of an AI generator, making them forgettable and giving me less reason to wanna return to it.
I just have no idea how anybody can say this album is "left field" when it's probably one of the safest albums Travis could make after the festival tragedy. Maybe that's what people were looking for or wanted, but for me, this really might be one of Travis Scott's least interesting and most lifeless projects. I don't know how anybody could hear Rodeo, Birds, or Astroworld, and then listen to Utopia and think "WOW man! This is some unheard of s*** from Travis!" Please...

Completely disagree with the last paragraph
This is not the safest album he could've made by any means, he honestly couldve flopped with a lot of these songs especially with how he was trying to get back in people's good graces

Bro...the nigga's FIRST SINGLE for the album is a pop-rap song with The Weeknd and Bad Bunny
"Could've flopped with a lot of these songs"
The album is filled with his usual big name collaborators. You genuinely believe an album with Drake, Beyonce, SZA, Young Thug, Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, Kid Cudi, Future, and Playboi Carti had a chance of flopping!?
There's hardly anything risky about this album save for f***in Modern Jam. Gimme a f***in break

K Pop isn't a standard pop single and alot of people actually hated it on release
You're acting like he made Gods Plan or something
#1 album in the country for a month straight
Platinum in weeks
KTT2: “this album has no replay value”
He’s been selling $1 vinyls for weeks now, this doesn’t count as a successful album

He sold $5 vinyl for like 30 minutes each maybe 3-4 times

There’s a reason he didn’t release an album until the rules changed.
Travis is the reason why Yeezus sounds the way it does but that's another discussion
Only brain dead travis scott fans on twitter believe that narrative lmao

Not true Migos bad and Boujee

Astro Tragedy vs Billboard numbers and you think it had to do with numbers the man was public enemy #2

You have a better case saying Rick Rubin or even Young Chop is the reason why Yeezus sounds the way it does than Travis
