But the actual songwriting and structure is messy and terrible. Depth alone doesn’t make something good

I can understand that criticism, but my refutation is this:

A. The middle of the album is packed with tightly written pop songs.

B. The songs that have looser and messier structures reflect his bombastic joy at his marriage. You don't have to prescribe to this interpretation, but I think it matches the themes of the album tonally.

Sure but the execution is lacking. So when you have similar themed songs that pad the runtime and just come and go, that’s filler to me. And when most of it is this type of filler, it makes the actual songs more important and when THEY ass....shit is a MESS
