I think he lost his Midas touch.
His first 3 albums are for the most part purely made by him. Even production.
Since the 2010’s pain has decided to use other producers.Not only did rappers start using autotune in a different way than pain, but r&b also changed drastically pretty much at the same time he was kinda/sorta feuding with Future.
I don’t think he can come back, but I can’t knock him if he gets a hit down the road

Honestly himself if he switched his production choices and subject matter
No artist can save him with the formula he’s relied on thus far
He needs an aesthetic/brand change

The brand of T-Pain is super “2000’s”. Even when he came back wit up down it wasn’t the same

Yeah the whole point is to use certain scales and keys and stuff to use it the conventional way
Pain was using it like that
I think Wayne and Ye used it without really thinking about that stuff. They kinda just used it till it sounded good.
And that’s how most people use it these days
