Come To Life is astounding production-wise. Almost jarringly crisp compared to the rest of the album, although not in a bad way. It just genuinely sounds like a fresh breath of air without losing the grit of the overall project.

I think God Breathed is the only other song to come close. Maybe Jail as well, but some of the vocal punches are grimy enough that it doesn’t have the same effect.

On the contrary

• Who the f*** is responsible for how Kanye’s vocals were punched in on Off The Grid, particularly in the intro?
• Why is the intro of Ok Ok at least a db below the rest of the song, even when the isolated synth plays at the end?
• Why are the vocals in Believe What I Say so buried in the mix?
• and it’s been mentioned but the crackles in the outro of Pure Souls are so damn annoying
