Old Era - albums announced months ahead, release dates announced a month or two before the albums dropped, "street singles" followed by album singles, tracklists a couple weeks before the album dropped along w artwork, hype built up over some time

New Era - albums seem to be released more surprisingly & if they are announced, its usually rumors of albums being worked on for years sometimes. We get official announcements w titles like a week or two before it drops, usually a few days out

Who cares it's all just a bunch of mumbling

  • Old era

I miss when artist would announce albums and have the image and buildup to go along with how the album is going to sound

Weeknd seems to be the only artist doing this now

    old era quiet easily

The aesthetic and overall concept feels more thought out and you set yourself up for the album in a better way when you see that everything is planned
