but not everyone wants to or will live in a city

albeit there was only news stories i knew of rather than me living there experiencing it myself but i’ve seen some stories about people harassing people of color and even pushing them into the train tracks at stations for no reason while people just watch

ofc not every place in europe is like this at all but let’s not act like it doesn’t exist there in a lot of places because of the majority white population who sometimes never even meet people of color

when i was younger i’ve even had friends from the uk who while living there had never had a black friend in their life or in their school and they way they talked about race seemed very different as they barely had experience with it and when they came to where we then lived in the us it was kind of like a shock to them to be in such a diverse space. they weren’t racist tho (mal intentionally at least) but it’s just telling of the environment

the more you ignore it the more it grows into a bigger problem

Yup this is all facts a lot of people are ignorant to a lot of dynamics that exist between people, same reason we have people in Europe saying racism doesn't exist just because they never saw it play out or would think it's just normal if they did

yup and that’s the biggest issue on why black people and people of color see it as a safe space compared to the US when in reality it’s probably worse besides some cities

that false narrative can really lead people into dangerous situations sometimes

It definitely can and I see new exemples of it everyday it's honestly depressing how much we haven't progressed at all

PORTUGAL

hopefully one day these countries can end up being very diverse but i could see it raising hell for a long time just as it did over here and still does in a lot of places

i think that one of the reasons these countries run so well is one because theres less people ofc but two that there’s no racism to deal with because only one race is almost the entirety that lives there

the us ruined itself while trying to ruin the black communities thru the war on d**** (and capitalism too ofc)

Also a big problem of Europe is how the colonial mindset is still very present while being almost unspoken of, like ull get people with a clear superiority complex talking about how people from Africa come to Europe to "invade" when the only reason they're here in the first place is because we invaded them in the first place, and if u dare say it u get s***ted on, you're definitely right when u say it would raise hell i stay hopeful tho I love diversity and I hope it becomes the norm

Ireland for its spectacular green landscape and that quaint Irish charm

Denmark just because I like the location of it. It’s just a tiny peninsula and some islands sticking out into the sea. Copenhagen is pretty much the only thing people know about the place. Prob has beautiful countryside

Netherlands for boundless reasons….

Switzerland for those picturesque peaks and valleys filled with green grass, flowers and chalets. Imagine eating fondue on a wintery Swiss night with your lady

Croatia for the Mediterranean vibes but in a less popular area that is slept on
