They really nailed it in this movie. I remember breaking down after watching this for the first time I found it really profound.

for anybody that's seen the film, it's heavily implied that our main protagonist from the first half of the film actually did kill his wife because she was f***ing on a guy named D*** Laurent and was doing some p*** s*** on the low. The whole film itself is a lot about surpressing memories and also changing them because of the lack of being able to handle these things mentally
In the scene from the picture above, his wife is washing off her make up, only thing is, her make up is still on afterwards. Those subtle things that you keep picking up on in Lynch movies is why i love rewatching them so much
I love the fact that he’s still squeezing his phone that he apparently ripped out of the wall before showing up to the Mattress Man shop.
