oh that makes more sense. i wouldnt call that "reverse industry plant" tho.

and yeah thats a thing. especially if they been signed to them for a long time.

like how some older artists got f***ed & now fighting for their masters & royalties, even if they are no longer signed.

they aint hot themselves no more but their old work still is, so the work is valued more than the artist.

some labels will plant 5 with the intention that only 1 makes it to the end while the other 4 arent able to compete / end of shelved over time

s*** genuinely irks the f*** out of me. i've heard it a few times irl too, & its constant ANY TIME a famous, semi-famous or bubbling artist has someone they know die. be it friend or family or even they damn selfs lol.

s*** is sickening & some a1 weirdo s***. also comes off as jealous & ignorant too. that you think a nigga cant be successful without doing the most extreme & vile s*** for personal gain. and that you dont realize the scope of the enviroments & lifestyle most rappers are coming from.

there is always someone on a rapper's status claiming that s*** on social media as soon as news breaks. they cant even mourn as they're trying to figure out the REAL cause for the deaths.

acting like artists arent even actual literal humans. i hate it.

Rap fans are toxic as f*** in this internet era being able to say whatever they want behind a screen and they really don't ever think twice about what they say sometimes. I've noticed in recent times people are getting stupid mob mentality saying any s*** about anybody, not being able to be satisfied by anybody who isn't Drake, and spreading horrible energy towards artists like if they aren't human. Can't believe people eat up this sacrifice and sell your soul s*** for artists that preach about good things

human sacrifice is a real and widely practiced concept but murder or slaying someone against their will is not the way to do it lol

one has to willingly bestow their energy and the other(s) must in turn channel or siphon that energy during ritual

this is most likely NOT happening with celebrity relative deaths but has definitely happened more than a few times since kabbalah and many historic spiritual practices are in various industries especially the media

one could also say that just because some1 believes in and practices occult science doesnt mean they succeed in it, doesnt mean it works

and at the very least the human sacrifice is just recorded gang or label initiation blackmail that anyone controlling your contract can use over you at any time (YNW Melly)

i obvs dont believe in it at all, but i agree there are some people that genuinely believe in the power of sacrifices & the like with even niche groups built around them.

but the fact that they pin it on a bunch of people from the hood every single time & they magically became famous (sometimes even people that are already hugely famous lol) off it is crazy.

the only one ive seen credence too is the whole "witch" artsy spirit cooking lady in the jay z video controversy (which i still dont believe but see the thought process) but thats also different imo.

edit: just saw ur edit & i def agree & it fits with a lot of what i just said too. and i agree if anything, its probably more of an old superstitious record exec pushing it if anything.

if you know history you know most of the world sacrificed humans or animals to Gods or the earth or w.e

and the point in which they "stopped" is very recently tbh

idk if you and me believing in it or not even matters tho, if millions of people believe and practice a form of human or animal sacrifice, its real as far as the affected ones go...

nah i meant i dont believe in the actual "power" that comes from it. of course there are still some people and groups that do tho, which i said above in my response.

i just dont believe its happening much if at all in hiphop, & if so, im pretty sure its not as rampant as the random social media comments claim/assume due to a youtube video telling them so.
