I still feel like Mel-Man produced a good bit of 2001 and Storch produced hits like In Tha Club,How We Do,Family Affair etc.

Quik did the drums on In Da Club

“In Da Club, I helped with that record” (1:05)

Go to the wiki page for the single, says he did the percussion in the personnel section

That’s crazy tbh,I say Scott Storch did the beat because most(if not all)of Dre’s early-mid 2000s hits have Scott Storch piano keys/riffs on them. Dre is talented as a mixer/master but I don’t think he ever really adapted with the times when it came to beat making in the new millennium.

Word was a while back that Skrillex's debut album had a lot of ghost production which is why his later stuff never had the same complexity, all unconfirmed of course

    Diplo definitely does tho

    metro boomin

i know a lot of EDM producers use them because they are always touring and doing shows, they don’t have time to make complex beats

During his run from 2012-2015 Mustard had a bunch of younger producers under him and he would add a couple of sounds to make it a "Mustard" beat.

He's gone through different periods of having co-producers, most of the times they are credited. I don't think Mike Free was originally credited on the songs and there was a lawsuit about it

That’s what I noticed too, dude relies on so many producers

“Relies” on.. dude signed them all and made them all pretty well off. Not everyone can be the marquee name, but that doesn’t mean not everyone can eat.

    still does

  • Jun 11, 2022

We should make a thread for producers who don’t use ghost producers. They deserve more shine.

    Mmm Hmm

    Kanye also Ghost produced

I feel like people who ghost produced at one point don’t have a problem with letting other ghost produce for them.

I feel like the industry views it as “paying your dues”.
