never watched the wire (i will soon) but imo

1. Sopranos
2. Mad Men
3. Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad or the Sopranos is impossible for me. Pinnacle of tv

I couldn't finish the wire tbh. Thought it was just alright

breaking bad made a lot of secondary and ancillary characters feel less important than the ones in sopranos and mad men. the overall character and world progression in BB isn't as good as the other shows either. BB is still an incredible show I just don't love it as much sopranos and mad men, BB is prolly more fun than them but didn't love it as much as the others

Man these shows just appeal to different people.

Most people here are set in their ways about their rank.

But almost all the answers are wildly different

the show had problems with viewers early and almost got cancelled

BB has incredibly smart writing and the way they pull things together and make the smallest details important several episodes or seasons later is crazy great show to rewatch

Yeah. I'm sure it's rewarding if you stick with it. I've seen some absolutely iconic scenes. I just have a hard time sticking through the whole thing right now

Sopranos is great, Tony clearly the most iconic main character of the ones mentioned, has the advantage of great dark comedy throughout , outside of that it’s not f***ing with the wire or bb, way more ambitious entities imo

Frank Sobotka is literally one of the best characters in the show & it gave us the Greek

But besides those characters, the way the docks & the union were tied into the d*** game is brilliant. This is the season where the Wire let loose of being restricted to strictly street s*** & allowed for more systems in society to be dissected.
