Even tho last season was weird bc of the sexual harassment suit I always liked how Martin got to say goodbye.

If you know his personal troubles and that clip of Chappelle speaking on Martin in the hospital at the time, it hits double hard to see dude high as hell saying goodbye to his show

Part 2 is largely overhated but I struggle to understand how someone can enjoy a storyline where many characters behave out of character, and the writers literally wrote themselves into a corner and asspulled the hell out of the last stretch of DN

I think light losing through the unpredictable unlucky actions of his acolyte Mikami that lead to Near’s victory was very much part of the nature of the show.

I don’t know, the show’s logic was always a little wonky but it felt in line with the entire premise of it.

Imagine having 2 dozen character archs most of them > 5 seasons long and then wrapping up every single one beautifully

No bullshit I cried every time I watched the group therapy monologue scene where Don gets up and hugs him
