I can’t think of a lot of shows that really felt completed with a sense of closure
Avatar : The Last Airbender
BoJack Horseman
Breaking Bad
The Good Place
Death Note
Name some tv shows you feel ended off well.
Mad Men ending. S7 is general was one of the best wrap-up seasons I've ever seen
Even tho last season was weird bc of the sexual harassment suit I always liked how Martin got to say goodbye.
If you know his personal troubles and that clip of Chappelle speaking on Martin in the hospital at the time, it hits double hard to see dude high as hell saying goodbye to his show
Probably not the type of s*** OP had in mind tho 😂

Oh yeah good point. That is one of the better endings to a tv show

I felt so satisfied

Part 2 is largely overhated but I struggle to understand how someone can enjoy a storyline where many characters behave out of character, and the writers literally wrote themselves into a corner and asspulled the hell out of the last stretch of DN

Respectfully i think the ending really solidifies why i love the show so much in a way.
Spoilers ahead in case anyone cares
I think light losing through the unpredictable unlucky actions of his acolyte Mikami that lead to Near’s victory was very much part of the nature of the show.
Do you know how many times Light had out maneuvered against L through sheer luck?
It’s actually insane.
it was like a taste of his own medicine in a way.
I don’t know, the show’s logic was always a little wonky but it felt in line with the entire premise of it.

Imagine having 2 dozen character archs most of them > 5 seasons long and then wrapping up every single one beautifully
No bullshit I cried every time I watched the group therapy monologue scene where Don gets up and hugs him

Honestly it’s more and more impressive the more i think about how they delivered with Mad Men
